Good Friday Service:

Next week Friday we will be live-streaming our Good Friday service beginning at 7:00 PM. More details to follow next week.

A Devotional Thought (And A Request for Requests):

Ephesians 5:19 “…addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart.”

Music is a powerful gift from the Lord. He has given us music and songwriters so that we can lift up our voices in worship and praise. When we sing songs it brings joy to our hearts as well. Hearing a beloved hymn or praise song can also be a tremendous source of comfort. I’ve always taken comfort knowing that my grandfather peacefully passed away while listening to the song “Pass Me Not O Gentle Savior” and I know many other stories of people finding comfort from the Lord during difficult times through music.

One of the worst things about these days of social distancing and staying at home is that we’re not able to gather in the sanctuary and lift up our voices together in praise. So I thought it might be nice during this time when we’re live-streaming our services to take song requests from the congregation. What are the worship songs and hymns that you love and that bring joy and comfort to you? Even though we’re not able to be together right now, we can still use the gift of music to encourage our hearts and build one another up as we worship God “together” even while we’re apart.

So please respond to this email update with your song requests and we will do our very best to include those songs in our services in the coming weeks.

May you “sing and make melody to the Lord with your heart” today.

Blessings,

Pastor Jason
