Church Family:
Let’s continue to remember our farmers in our prayers as we (hopefully) transition to the spring season.
Clearing Up A Question From Yesterday:
I think yesterday's update set the record for the most responses. There seems to be a question as to whether or not I purposefully referred to past Canadian “Presidents” as a joke or if I have not yet figured out that Canada has a Prime Minister! I assure you that it was only in jest that I made that statement and as a good-faith gesture I propose a little swap: Our President for your Prime Minister. Deal? (By the way, thanks to everyone for the hilarious feedback!).
Caspar’s Email About Honduras:
On Sunday I mentioned that Caspar Geisterfer sent an email update regarding the situation in Honduras. Below is the text of that email:
Grace and Peace to you in this time of Resurrection and Redemption,
As with many people here in North America and around the world, Leanne and I are sheltering in place. Leanne is in her second week of quarantine, and I am living with her mother in Elkhart, Indiana. Leanne hopes to join us in Elkhart next Tuesday. Leanne is in quarantine because she returned to the US after the shelter in place orders. We are confident that she has not contracted the Covid-19 virus. We have both enjoyed worshipping with some of you through the marvels of modern technology. I am thankful that God enables us to maintain the unity of his family in this way.
I would like to encourage you to maintain your support of the ministry in Honduras. While the Covid-19 virus has put many of our activities on hold, other parts of the ministry continue. Working through my team in Honduras, we would like to witness the reality of God and his gift of salvation, by supplying 100 families with food and masks. We are hoping to help these families for two months. I invite you to join in and support this project financially. The cost of this project is $30 per family per month. If you wish to support this project, please note on your donation that this is for Fund Code 806313. Thank you.
Resonate Global Mission depends on your generosity to continue its ministries throughout North America and the world. All missionaries have been encouraged to become very conservative in their use of funds. In addition, missionaries as well as employees in both the Canadian and US offices have been encouraged to creatively find ways to help in avoiding the need to lay off staff. As you are able, I ask that you remember Resonate Global Mission, and the work we do in partnership in Honduras. Together, we can be flashes of light, overcoming the darkness.
Thank you for your continuing support.
